Pompeii: The Legacy Gets Major Pre-Launch Update

A new update for Pompeii: The Legacy is now live, marking a major milestone ahead of the game’s full release on April 6th. This update serves as a prelude to the final version of the game, with the upcoming release bringing the largest and most complete update so far.

The latest patch introduces a wide range of improvements across gameplay systems, balance, UI, and overall player experience. Trade has been rebalanced to better reflect each city’s role, while health and disease systems have been expanded with the addition of seasonal influenza, deeper medical resource management, and more impactful outbreaks. Education and entertainment systems have been reworked to function more clearly and consistently, giving players better feedback and control over city development.
A brand-new Army Panel has also been introduced, offering improved insight into military strength, morale, and logistics, while new mechanics such as city feasts and public games add more depth to managing citizen happiness. Additionally, a new building: the Weaponsmith, has been added, alongside improvements to production chains, research systems, and late-game performance.
The campaign has now been fully developed and tested, and will unlock shortly before release, allowing players to experience the complete narrative leading up to the final version of the game.
