ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE TAKES FLIGHT TODAY

 

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe TODAY announced the worldwide launch of ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE™, the first mainline entry in the acclaimed ACE COMBAT flight shooting series in seven years. Developed by Bandai Namco Aces Inc., ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE elevates the franchise to new heights, leveraging Unreal® Engine 5 and proprietary technology to deliver breathtaking visuals, immersive aerial combat and thrilling high-speed action. Players can also experience the series' biggest multiplayer offering to date, with cross-platform play connecting pilots across the globe. ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE is available now on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam®.

With expansive cloudscapes, highly detailed environments and dynamic weather effects that directly impact gameplay, ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE delivers the most immersive aerial experience in the history of the franchise. Players will pilot a diverse roster of real-world-inspired fighter jets while engaging in intense aerial battles and experiencing cinematic first-person storytelling that brings them closer than ever to the conflict.
 

Set within the series' iconic fictional universe, the game follows the story of the player, who takes on the role of the legendary pilot known as the Wings of Theve, and their comrades in Joker Flight, an elite squadron fighting to reclaim their homeland after the Federation of Central Usea falls under occupation. Alongside fellow pilots Baxter, Tasha and Coster, players will battle overwhelming enemy forces, confront rival aces and make critical decisions that will shape the future of the conflict.
 

Online multiplayer in ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE is the most ambitious in the franchise's history. Players create and customize their own mercenary pilot before joining the Air Base hub, a new social space supporting up to 100 players simultaneously. Pilots can participate in Co-Op Assault, Co-Op Warfare, time-limited emergency missions and competitive PvP events, while progressing through a dedicated online rewards system featuring training activities, arcade experiences and additional unlockable content.
 

ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE also introduces the Premium Ace Pass for ACE COMBAT ONLINE. Available separately or included through the Deluxe Edition's Premium Ace Pass Plus Voucher, the pass grants access to seasonal rewards including aircraft skins, avatar costumes and the playable ADFX-02 MORGAN – PIXY aircraft. Premium Ace Pass Plus holders additionally receive an instant boost of 30 levels to accelerate their progression through seasonal content.
