In a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by an unending blizzard, players board a mighty locomotive and fight for survival. Alone or with up to three teammates, they travel across the frozen wastelands, stopping at the remnants of a once-thriving civilization. Old mining camps and villages offer food and materials, while subterranean vaults hide powerful weapons and rewards.

Those who hunt for resources must not linger too long. The wasteland’s swirling snow conceals ravenous creatures known as Revenants that attack unwary travelers. Players must prepare to fight their way back to the train in intense FPS co-op battles.

After escaping back to safety, players use scavenged materials to upgrade arsenals, build new defenses and improve their vehicle. The train offers a safe place to recover, craft, and to prepare for the next, even more dangerous stop.

“The community that has grown around Frostrail since we announced it has been frankly astounding,” said Ez Jämsen, Lead Designer at FakeFish. “Since we revealed Frostrail, it has gained almost 500,000 Steam wishlists. And now, as we head into the final stages of development, we’re inviting players into our game as a way to thank them all for their support. It means the world to us.”

Frostrail is set to launch in Steam Early Access in Q4 2026, with English, Spanish, French, German, Russian, Polish, Portuguese - Brazil, and Simplified Chinese language support. For more information, players can visit FakeFish’s official website
