Player Omega Brings Esports, Gaming & Lifestyle Culture Together For a Participation-Based Event in Pomona, Calif on November 9 + 10

Player Omega launches as a first-of-its-kind live event bringing the gaming community together to actively participate in a wide variety of gaming and lifestyle activities for all ages and experience levels. Attendees will be immersed in 2 days of open-bracket esports tournaments operated by their favorite leagues competing in all the top titles, free game play, cosplay, panel discussions, art installations, and more. For its inaugural event, Player Omega will host gamers November 9-10, 2019 at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif., with plans to expand to 10 different venues in 2020 and 20 cities in 2021.

Player Omega is the brainchild of visionary leaders spanning the esports, gaming, and live music industries. Company founders are entertainment and esports entrepreneur Jon Bukosky (Ultimate Media Ventures), taking the role of CEO, and veteran esports executive Han Park (former president of ESL), who is serving as an advisor and executive board member. Rounding out the leadership team is Vans Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman as president, and chief operating officer John Greenberg, who has managed some of the biggest names in music.

“Player Omega is not another passive event for you to go watch other people do something special –– it’s your turn to seize your moment and be the hero,” Bukosky said. “This is a live event like nothing before and you’ll be participating as part of your own community.”

Unlike any event before it, Player Omega is fully participatory; taking the community-focused qualities of a local area gaming event and amplifying them to a scale normally found only in major esports championships and large-scale music tours. Player Omega will provide a path to pro experience for aspirational players alongside a fully immersive, multidimensional experience featuring cosplay, educational panels, live music, art, and delicious food.

Additionally, further announcements are still to come about the expansion of Player Omega into a multi-city tour in 2020. The team has current plans to reach 10 North American cities in 2020 before expanding to 20 in 2021. Locations are being selected that will allow Player Omega to host world class esports and gaming experiences for local fans and passionate communities who are typically passed over by the major gaming events.

“There are gamers outside the major metro areas and Player Omega wants to make sure it’s their turn for the big event,” Lyman said. “Some of the best esports competitors come from overlooked places. Player Omega wants to help assure nobody is passed over again and build champions from local communities.”

More details about the inaugural Player Omega event are set to roll out over the coming weeks.
