NAVGTR AWARD WINNERS MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE "WAR OF AWARDS" NOMINATIONS



War of Awards, a video game award mega-battle, has announced the latest video game nominees added to this year’s program.

Each of these winning games has been voted by a selected assembly of more than 700 press members from the gaming industry and are seen to be of the highest marks in art, design, writing, performance, and sound.

Out of the sixty competitive categories at this year’s NAVGTR Awards, “Horizon Zero Dawn” took the top spot winning six awards. “Super Mario Odyssey” took the coveted “Game of the Year” title.

Studio MDHR’s “Cuphead” won in six categories, while “Super Mario Odyssey” and “Persona 5” both took home five awards.

Other popular titles to win multiple awards in specific genre categories included titles such as “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” with four wins, and “What Remains of Edith Finch,” “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy,” “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” “Nier: Automata,” and “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice,” all with two wins each.

With the NAVGTR Awards wrapped for the season, the newest War of Awards nominees added to the running are as follows:

Final winners of the War of Awards will be determined by attendees of PAX East, the Penny Arcade Expo held in Boston.

Voting will be conducted using an “Iowa caucus” live debate format on April 7 at 7 p.m. in the Cuttlefish Theatre inside the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Fans can make and track predictions at warofawards.org before each precursor award and as the PAX East finale gets closer. A voting booth using the website will also appear on the expo floor. Visit Booth #11133 at PAX East.
