Formula Legends Online Multiplayer Update - Out Now for PC, Arrives on Consoles October

Independent developer 3DClouds is delighted to announce that the long-await online multiplayer update for Formula Legends is out today for PC players and will launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms next month.

Formula Legends (PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch) playfully emulates the last 70 years of the world’s premier open-wheel motorsport, with a deep yet approachable sim-cade gameplay blend. This fast-paced pick-and-play racer surpassed the 100k sales milestone earlier this month and has regularly been updated with DLC across different racing eras as well as modern day, including most recently the officially licensed Formula E: Electric Evolution expansion.

Today’s 1.7 update allows all that content across different eras, series and regulations to be experienced in online multiplayer sessions. Formula Legends supports 10 players racing against each other simultaneously in online peer-to-peer multiplayer sessions with ranked and unranked options available.

Players choose which game they want to join via the server browser, jump straight in with Single Race or Championship options. They can also host their own session with lots of options available including different cars, tracks, weather conditions, lap number, mandatory pit stops and more to choose from. Players can also make their server private with password-protection to allow maximum flexibility when choosing whether to play with just friends or the whole world.

“Every time we chatted with the Formula Legends community, the first thing they asked us was always online multiplayer, so to be able to finally add it to the game 1 year after launch is a massive deal for all of us at 3DClouds,” said Francesco Bruschi, CEO of 3DClouds.”We’ve worked tirelessly implement our vision of fast-paced, minimal-fuss online multiplayer and we can’t wait to see what players think of it!”

Update 1.7 will be live on PC from today and is free to all those who own Formula Legends. Online multiplayer functionality will launch for Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 platforms late October, again for no additional cost, and crucially will support crossplay between all platforms.
