Indie developer Buzzin' Games continues The Damned Files, its character reveal series for Rock, Paper, Severed, introducing Dr Amy Chen (aka Lobot-Amy), the second of four playable characters whose dark histories have brought them to The Old Sire's table.

A psychological horror tabletop strategy game that puts a dark, horror-infused twist on the classic hand game Rock, Paper, Scissors, Rock, Paper, Severed challenges players to outwit their opponents in a deadly game where every throw you lose costs you a finger. Each character brings their own history, secrets and reasons for being at the table, with their stories revealed throughout the single-player and multiplayer experiences.

Dr Amy Chen was once a gifted psychiatric registrar with a promising future ahead of her. Raised by hardworking first-generation Chinese immigrants who sacrificed everything to help her succeed, Amy built a respected medical career dedicated to treating those society had forgotten.

Behind the closed doors of the clinic, however, Amy was living a very different life. Away from public scrutiny, she performed illegal transorbital lobotomies on patients whose families paid for the procedures in cash. She carried out the procedure 91 times, until a 17-year-old patient named Beatrice Laing became the 92nd.

Beatrice was not supposed to be conscious when Amy began the procedure. But when her eyes opened, everything changed. In a desperate struggle, Beatrice turned the instruments on Amy, leaving her permanently disfigured and mentally fractured. The consequences of that encounter would haunt Amy long after she was admitted to a secure hospital.

Now missing from that hospital, Amy has become the centre of an investigation that will draw others towards a nightmare far beyond comprehension. Known as Lobot-Amy, her horrifying appearance reflects the trauma she carries. Blood replaces her tears, sleep offers no refuge, and an unseen presence seems to follow her every waking moment.

As Amy's story intertwines with that of Michael "Mike" Dowd, players will uncover a character caught somewhere between perpetrator and victim, in a world where guilt, punishment and salvation become impossible to separate.
