Silver Palace Opens Its "Dichotomy" Beta Test!

 

Elementa has officially launched the "Dichotomy" Beta Test of Silver Palace, its upcoming open-world fantasy adventure RPG powered by Unreal Engine 5. The upcoming test will be a limited PC (Windows) beta with no in-game purchases, and all player progress will be reset at the end of the test. The Dichotomy Beta Test brings over 40 hours of playable content, and sees the male protagonist make his grand debut: players can now choose between a male and female Detective to play as. The character roster has been expanded to 15 different characters, with 8 brand-new additions in this beta.

This round of testing includes many hours of painstakingly-crafted story content, with more investigation-focused deduction gameplay and multi-branch quests, character-specific storylines, and loads more fun content to try out. You can now explore even more of the city of Silvernia, too. More zones are now available, filled with treasures, puzzles, interactive elements, and mysterious incidents waiting to be discovered. Dive into horse racing gameplay that sends you tearing through the city streets, or take a break from cracking cases and see Silvernia (and its secrets) from a different perspective.

The combat system has been entirely overhauled, with a battle gameplay loop that revolves around dodging, parrying, Stamina management, and a Stun buildup mechanic. This means a higher skill ceiling for those seeking in-depth fighting content, but we've made considerations for different skill levels too by adding in a new combat-assist system. Certain character skills and ultimates have been updated too, along with boss battles featuring different battle mechanics for a new and exciting challenge.

Built with Unreal Engine 5, Silver Palace combines the high-tech fantasy of a Silverium-powered society with Victorian-style aesthetics to create a city of dichotomy. Here, the advanced and the antiquated, good and evil, and even life and death coexist in delicate balance. With anime-style graphics, it's a bold and thrilling experience that pulls no punches, full of contrasts and heart-pounding action. Dramatic conflicts and character dynamics give it an impressive depth and suspense, lending itself to further interpretation—with themes involving a detective burdened by the mystery of the queen's death: one that puts them on the firing line.
