Descend into the Circles of Hell – Beatrix Demo Now Live on Steam
Indie developer and publisher Tambù Digital has unveiled the first playable demo for its upcoming roguelite board-builder Beatrix, now available to download on PC via Steam. Launching later in 2026, Beatrix is a hauntingly stylised strategy experience where positioning is power, and your ability to craft a board-wide strategy determines the fate of a fractured underworld.

Inspired by the spatial logic play, Beatrix transforms traditional deckbuilding into a deep board-build experience played across a shifting battlefield. As the enigmatic Beatrix, players descend through the Circles of Hell to uncover a rotting anomaly threatening the Abyss itself. By deploying Canons, powerful field effects that rewrite the rules of the grid, and mastering positional combat, every move can reshape the board and turn the tide of battle.
Will you restore balance to the underworld, or be consumed by the corruption spreading through its frozen heart?
Enter Limbo in the First Playable Demo
The newly released demo plunges players into the first Circle of Hell - Limbo, where they will learn the fundamentals of Beatrix’s strategic tarot combat while uncovering the first threads of the game’s dark narrative.
During the demo run, players will encounter the twisted denizens of Limbo and ultimately challenge Charon, the Custos Limbi, in a climactic boss battle.
The demo includes:
35 Canons - board-altering abilities applied at the start of battle
22 Major Arcana Tarot Cards - core cards played during combat
15 Relics with unique abilities
3 Enemy Types and 2 Elite Variants
1 Boss Encounter - Charon
3 Narrative Events shaping your descent
This first taste of Beatrix introduces players to its tactical board control mechanics, evolving deck systems, and the ominous world that lies deeper within the Circles of Hell.
