New, Free Update Introducing “Extreme” Difficulty and More Now Live for The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- on Nintendo Switch
XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., along with independent game studio, TooKyo Games, and Aniplex, Inc., a leading global entertainment company, today announced the release of the free 1.1.1 update for The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- on Nintendo Switch™. The free update includes a wide range of bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and an extreme new difficulty mode for tactical battles to show players the true meaning of a desperate struggle.
The free 1.1.1 patch, now available to download, includes:
- A new option to load immediately before a decision scene from the chapter selection screen
- The new “Extreme & Despair” difficulty for tactical battles, making enemies dramatically more dangerous and ramping up the challenge. This does not alter the narrative or exploration scenes.
- Any previously cleared battles can now be skipped when playing through different routes
- A number of additional quality-of-life improvements responding to player feedback and bug fixes
Developed by TooKyo Games Inc. and Media.Vision Inc., The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- is published physically and digitally on the Nintendo Switch™ system in the Americas by XSEED Games, and released on April 24, 2025. The title is available in a standard physical edition via the Marvelous USA Online Store and participating retailers, and digitally in a standard and deluxe edition on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.
This title is also published globally by Aniplex Inc. on Windows PC via Steam and is currently available in a standard and digital deluxe edition, and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in Europe.
