Colony-building sim Clanfolk takes on the world in major update
There’s never been a better time to try out Clanfolk, Hooded Horse and MinMax Games’ colony-building sim about managing a medieval clan in the Scottish highlands. In what is the biggest, most game-changing update yet, venture forth into the wide world, go on expeditions, and bring back advanced technologies to further improve the homestead!
Update 17 introduces the world map, which is unlocked via the Planning Table that’s available in the mid-game. This new interface will let players send out their clan folk to explore over 500 hex-based territories, with over 100 expeditions available that come with special events that can yield extra rewards. The world map will also contain advanced technologies and training, including Steelmaking, which can only be obtained from the castles of other clans.
There is also over 60 new historically authentic recipes, items, and worktables that extends and improves the flow of technological advancement within the Clan. This is only the beginning – future updates will expand on the content available on the world map, including being able to build multiple settlements.
Check out the full patch notes for all the glorious details.
This follows on from Update 16, which released in March and introduced a ton of new features, such as difficulty modes, new tiles and environments, flooding mechanics, and plenty of new objects such as baby toys, turnip lamps, and dried berries.
