The inaugural Olympic Esports Week is a four-day festival of virtual sports and gaming created by the IOC and hosted in Singapore. A highlight of the week will be the first in-person, live finals of the Olympic Esports Series 2023 – the global virtual and simulated sports competition from the IOC, conducted in collaboration with International Federations (IFs) and game publishers. Qualification rounds in baseball, chess, motorsport and sailing are already under way, with competitors aiming to reach the finals in Singapore and compete in front of fans for the prestigious title of Olympic Esports Series winner.

The ISSF’s sport shooting island created in Fortnite has been added to the Olympic Esports Finals line-up. The event will see 12 players from the 2023 Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) invited to compete on the global stage. A specially designed Fortnite Creative Island, made to reflect sport shooting competition, will put the target-aiming accuracy of sharp shooters to the test and see them navigate the in-game environment as they compete to become an Olympic Esports Series winner. All the thrilling finals action will be streamed globally across Olympics.com and Olympic social channels.

Tickets for Olympic Esports Week are available to purchase now, with general admission starting at SGD 10 per day and three-day passes available from SGD 20. In recognition of Visa’s long-standing partnership with the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa is the official and preferred way to pay for Olympic Esports Week tickets. Tickets can be purchased here.

Olympic Esports Week is supported by the Worldwide Olympic Partners (https://olympics.com/ioc/partners), including Allianz, which will bring its MoveNow Camp to Singapore with a new esports edition. Registration is now open to 14- to 17-year-olds from across Asia, with 30 individuals then being invited to take part in the camp during Olympic Esports Week 2023. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their skills in featured games Rocket League and Gran Turismo, alongside professional esports training, selected activities to improve mental and physical health, as well as social skills, and mentorship opportunities. Registration is now open here and will close on Sunday 7 May.

Olympic Esports Week marks another step in supporting the development of virtual sports within the Olympic Movement, as laid out in Olympic Agenda 2020+5, and continues the Movement’s collaboration with the gaming and esports communities to create new opportunities for players and fans alike.
